APLAYA ES ranked as 3rd Place during the Search for Best ICT Innovation in SLAC
The School Principal, Reynaldo Vega Magan victoriously bagged the 3rd ranked during the 1st Regional ICT Summit conducted last November 20-12, 2017 at Grand Caprice, Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City.
The region-wide competition was attended by all Divisions of the entire region of Northern Mindanao namely: Camiguin, Malaybalay, Valencia, Misamis Oriental. Misamis Occidental, Ozamis, Iligan, Oroquieta, Lanao del Norte, Tangub and Cagayan de Oro City.
The 1st Regional ICT Summit sub-divided the competition categories into five namely: Best ICT Practices in Teaching and Learning, Best ICT Practices in Governance, Best ICT Practices in Child Protection, Best ICT Practices in eSIms and Best ICT Practices in SLAC Session. The Division of Misamis Oriental was represented by Sugbongcogon National High School, Medina National Comprehensive High School, Jasaan Central School, and Aplaya ES.
Aplaya Elementary School ranked as 3rd Place and Jasaan Central School got the 2nd Place in their Child Protection Policy.

Brigada Eskwela 2017

Brigada Eskwela is the longest implemented DepEd program which emphasized the "Bayanihan" scenario before the opening of classes. This year, it will be implemented on May 15 to May 20, 2017 in every public schools in the entire country.
This week-long celebration, with the passionate interference of all private and public groups and individuals, Non-Government Organizations and all organized groups will once again realize.

Oplan Balik-Eskwela 2017

Department of Education Secretary, Leonor Magtolis Briones, speculated the opening of the school year 2017-2018 which is on June 5, 2017. The first day of school will be the first day of class which means no more cleaning or arrangement of anything inside of every classroom. The Brigada Eskwela which will be happening 2 weeks before the opening of first day of classes made it happen the first day of school be possible.
Team Building

The 10-month long of teachers in straight teaching, paper works, daily lesson plan and logs and other relevant preparations are indeed exhausting.
But, last April 28, 2017, the teachers had their great time with their families as they had their so called team building and retreat at Kampo Juan in Manolo Fortich Bukidnon, Transfiguration Monastery in Malaybalay and lastly relieved their discomfort as they had great times swimming and sliding at RR Family Resort in Maramag, Bukidnon.
Though our trip was tiring and dusty, but the experience was worth remembering.
